I am pleased to share that Good Light Group Asia (GLGA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Taiwan Lighting Fixture Export Association (TLFEA).
This marks an important step in connecting Taiwan’s lighting industry with the emerging global movement toward healthy, human-centric and verifiable lighting environments.
Taiwan has a strong industrial foundation in lighting, LED components, packaging, optoelectronics, controls, sensing, infrared and laser technologies. The next opportunity is to connect these strengths with international developments in healthy buildings, WELL, CIE S 026, melanopic EDI / DER, HCL-ready IES Profile, spatial light modeling, human-factor verification and real-world application scenarios.
Through this collaboration, GLGA and TLFEA will work together to promote healthy lighting knowledge exchange, technical and professional collaboration, forums and seminars, international exchange opportunities, and future working groups related to HCL-ready IES Profile, product data, spectral information, lighting verification and design applications.
For GLGA, this MOU is not only a symbolic partnership. It is a practical starting point for helping the industry move from lighting products toward verifiable good light environments.
Healthy lighting should not remain only a scientific concept or a marketing slogan. It must become something that can be designed, measured, verified and delivered.
I sincerely thank Chairman Lee Shih-Tsung, Secretary General Chen Tsung-Lin, and the board members of TLFEA for their trust, support and warm hospitality.
I look forward to working with Taiwan’s lighting industry to build stronger connections between science, standards, design, technology and real-world applications — and to help position Taiwan as an active contributor to the next generation of healthy lighting in Asia.
